Bracebridge Soccer Return to Play!

Dear Parents, Guardians and Players:

On behalf of the Bracebridge SC Board of Directors, I am pleased to write to you today that we are kicking off our outdoor season with newly designed soccer activity as part of our provincially approved Return to Play (RTP).

First, on behalf of our volunteer team, we sincerely hope you and your loved ones have stayed healthy and well.  I know that there are many of us who have looked forward to playing a sport we enjoy much earlier than today, but instead have had to meet the challenge of what has been a difficult time for all of us. Thank you for your understanding and patience throughout these past few months.

The Executive team have done our very best to honour our club's commitments to our community as well as work diligently to prepare for the day we could offer soccer activities to youth and adults in a safe environment with the proper protocols in place.

With the introduction of Ontario Soccer's Return to Play (see link below) we have developed a provincially approved customized approach that will allow us to enjoy the sport, let player's develop and display their soccer skills as well as be able to engage in small-group play with the safety and well-being of all participants at the forefront of our programs.

To kick-off the outdoor season at Gostick Park, we are offering an academy style designed program for girls and boys ages 9 to 12 (born in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011).

The program has been designed with Ray Wright, a Nationally Licensed "A" level coach, who has worked with us on many occasions in the past 5 years to share his love of soccer and support the skill development of young soccer players.

We are extremely pleased to work with Ray and contribute to resuming soccer in Bracebridge!!

The program will be:

-  A 6 week program.
-  The program will run starting the week of August 4 to September 10th
-  Two possible playing dates, Tuesday and Thursday evening, between 6 and 8:30 p.m., at Gostick Park.
-  1 session per week with Coach Ray Wright.
-  1 additional session per week with certified club coaches.
-  Each session will be 1.25 hours
-  All sessions will be run under strict adherence to the Return to Play (RTP) Guides (see Club Info tab)

The cost for this program will be $125.

Specific group / time assignments on Tuesday/Thursday evening will be based on the number of registrations received for the program at the discretion of the club.

Please note that space is limited for the number of players per session.

All participants must be officially registered online prior to their first session.

To register for this program online using your VISA or MASTERCARD credit card, please connect to this link:

We believe this is a positive step and opportunity for some children to resume their soccer activities.  We have seen the return to play happening in other Ontario clubs and so far the response to reintroducing programs with the safety measures outlined in an RTP have been positive.

We appreciate any questions or additional information you have - please do not hesitate to contact us at the club.

We look forward to our soccer activities resuming at Gostick Park!

Thank you,

John Miller
